The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sakers (29-13) in Changwon on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Skygunners (19-23) 79-62. Sono SG looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-2001) scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Nathan Knight (208-1997, college: William & Mary) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sono SG maintains seventh position with 19-23 record. Defending champion LG Sakers still keep top place with 13 games lost. Sono SG are looking forward to face Seoul Thunders (#9) at home in the next round. LG Sakers will play against KCC Egis (#5) in Busan and are hoping to win this game.

However their fans expected much easier game. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) notched 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Youngjun An supported him with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 27 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists by Turkish power forward Kerem Kanter (208-1995, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for Seoul Thunders. Samsung Thunders' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Knights have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Seoul Knights maintains second position with 27-15 record having just two points less than leader LG Sakers. Seoul Thunders at the other side keep the ninth place with 29 games lost. Seoul Knights will play against bottom-ranked Daegu (#10) in Incheon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Seoul Thunders will play on the road against Sono SG in Daegu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last two games of round 38 Suwon KT won against Daegu on the opponent's court 98-86. Wonju DB managed to outperform Mobis Phoebus in a home game 90-80.
